National These last 2 years tourism is one of the sectors of the economy hit hardest by the Covid-19 pandemic. With billions of euros lost and hundreds of thousands of jobs lost worldwide.

However in Albania, the main attractions in the country gained the missing interest from Albanian tourists only after the end of the quarantine period. The beaches in August were overcrowded as if Covid-19 did not exist.

Mountain attractions have not lagged behind, especially in recent weekends. Hundreds of Albanian tourists from Albania and Kosovo have flocked to Valbona and Theth. Guesthouses and other accommodation units were overcrowded.

-It was a very beautiful trip – says Klodi, who together with her husband and 9-month-old baby crossed the Valbona pass and after a few hours walk down to Theth and enjoyed the traditional food of the area and visited its tourist attractions.

Valbona offers the tranquility and unparalleled beauty of its valley among the highest mountains in the entire Dinaric Alps.

The food is traditional, not forgetting the maza, the pepper sauce and the honey produced by the owners of the inns themselves.

The Grunas waterfall in Teth counted an unusual number of visitors, unusual even for a typical weekend.
